Our Masterclass Cohort II is filled with passionate young people from diverse backgrounds, all united by a shared commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights. From aspiring healthcare professionals to community leaders, these individuals are ready to make a difference.
Here’s a breakdown of our incredible participants:
- Age: The majority are young adults between 15-35 years old, demonstrating a strong interest in SRHR among this age group.
- Gender: The cohort is predominantly female (33/49), reflecting the importance of empowering young women and girls in SRHR advocacy.
- Education: Most applicants have completed or are pursuing higher education (35 university, 1 vocational, 14 high school), showcasing their dedication to learning and personal growth.
- Representation: Montserrado County has the highest representation (38 out of 49), with representatives from almost every community.
What motivates them?
- Knowledge: Gaining knowledge about SRHR was the primary reason for applying (39 out of 49), demonstrating a strong desire to become informed advocates.
- Leadership: Many aspire to become peer educators (34 out of 49), showcasing their potential to lead and inspire others.
- Community Impact: A significant portion (29 out of 49) aims to educate their communities, highlighting their commitment to making a positive impact.
- Advocacy: Several participants are interested in advocating for SRHR (10 to apply, 8 as a goal, 27 planned use of knowledge), demonstrating their passion for driving social change.
