Empowering Mothers, Transforming Lives

Help a Mother and Newborn Initiative (HMNI) began in 2021 with unwavering support from Bowier Trust Foundation, Rotary Club of Zurich, Linth Hospital and others. Born out of a transformative internship experience in Switzerland, it addresses maternal and newborn health challenges faced by women in Liberia, specifically in Margibi County. Transitioning from a project to a registered non-profit in 2023, our team has already impacted over 2000 women and adolescents, supplying essential resources to 15 health facilities and partnering with LEO Nutrition for a successful baby food program. With a holistic approach, including maternity support clubs and peer-peer support initiatives, we are committed to empowering women, improving healthcare outcomes, and overcoming community-specific challenges.
